About Me

I am a counsellor working with individuals and couples. My approach recognises the impact of earlier life experiences, and unconscious processes that affect adult behaviour. I help clients gain better self-awareness and understanding of their thoughts and feelings - an important aspect of the process. This enables  successful choices to be made that may have seemed  unattainable before.

I combine different techniques of counselling (mainly Person Centred and Psychodynamic models, as well as  Cognitive Behavioural) and refine them to meet your individual needs. I have a grounded, open approach, and work successfully with clients from all cultures.

I run an established private practice, and as well as my work as a therapist, I have worked as a counselling lecturer, and for many years worked in the NHS.

I hold advanced diplomas in psychotherapeutic and integrative counselling, and I am certificated in psychosexual health. I am  qualified to work with couples, and I am a CRUSE trained  bereavement counsellor.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) abiding by their ethical framework. I maintain a strict policy of confidentiality.

In general I work on an open ended basis, but I can also offer session limited work. I work with EAP services and insurers.
