How does Counselling work?

People choose counselling for a variety of reasons. There may be specific issues, situations, feelings, a wish for increased self understanding or a sense of something missing. Perhaps you are having problems in your personal relationships, career or you are feeling sad, angry or stressed.

The good news is that whatever the circumstances, we always have the potential to change and create meaningful lives. Through the exploration of anxieties and fears in therapy, it is possible to transform our attitudes, and make quite astonishing changes. Its a privelege of my work when I see people getting their lives back on track. This may mean  making difficult choices, gaining self acceptance or just enjoying life more.

These are just some of the issues that I work with on a regular basis;

• Abuse
• Addictions - alcohol, drugs, sex & gambling
